the Lord's plan
I recently went through a pretty traumatic experience.
I was the Saturday after we got out for Spring Break! Hooray! My friend and I were on a drive down to the lake. My step-father was driving the car. About three miles away from the house and big black truck pulls out in front of us. We were going pretty fast and as he pulls out in front of us he is going slow. We are on the back country roads so not many people were around. Our car almost hit him so we went around the truck thinking nothing of it.
Well about one mile away from the house he began to speed up. As we reach the top of our street he is right up on us. My step-father decides to pull over just to see whats the matter. He pulls right up beside us to where we can barley pull away. As he rapidly gets out of his car my step-father sees the silhouette of a gun. He pulls around the truck as fast as he can. At the moment I thought "oh, he thought whats the point in talking, lets pull away." I thought wrong. Right as I turn around to look back... He takes his stance and shoots! It was the loudest gun shoot I have ever heard.
We speed to the house and we are directed to get out of the car and go into the house. Me and my friend go to the back door, scared as we can be. Low and behold, the door is locked. I quickly begin to call my grandparents which are in the house. Neither of them answer so my next thought is to call my mom. She answers and I tell her what happened quietly. Shaking, for about four minutes we are outside trying to hide.
A few minutes later we get let in. Fast forward about two hours and my mom has arrived. So now that you have heard the story lets get to the point of this.
Near time to go to bed I am still shaken from the day.
My friend says to me..."You don't need to fear, instead pray for the Lord to take your worries away."
In the moment I didn't realize how important those words would mean to me right about now as I'm writing this. Never under estimate the power of prayer. No matter what you or others do wrong the Lord will still love you. So now it has been a couple weeks since that I have seen so many things on social media and some of my friends have shared so many great prayers with me. I am so thankful for so many reasons.
But after all, my point being... always pray and never fear because the Lord has got your back and is on your side. I want you to take this time to put all of your fears away and pray to the Lord. He has a plan for you and you need to trust it. I have had trouble int he past with His plan. I always think it won't work out in the end. Getting closer with Him has made me realize that I need to trust in the Lord and trust in the plan!
